Serum promotes itself as a decentralized exchange (DEX) and ecosystem that brings unprecedented speed and low transaction costs to decentralized finance. Is it worth it to invest or scam that we should stay away from? Let's find out in this review.

What is Serum (SRM)?

Serum is a decentralized exchange software built on Solana where cryptocurrencies can be bought and sold by traders.

If you’re unfamiliar, Solana is a blockchain platform that aims to increase user scalability through faster transaction settlement times. By being deployed on Solana, Serum can fully benefit from the speed and cost effectiveness of transactions settled on its blockchain.

SRM is the native governance token of the Serum platform. The serum is one of the biggest decentralized crypto derivative exchange platforms, with a daily volume exceeding 100 million USD. Holding and using SRM tokens on the platform gives users benefits such as paying reduced transaction fees.
With a total market cap of over $198 million, Serum is the No. 133 cryptocurrency by market size.

Is Serum (SRM) worth investing in?

1. Founder and team

Sam Bankman-Fried co-founded Serum. Bankman-Fried is a graduate of physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree. He has more than three years of FTX trading experience with Jane street capital. Jane street capital is a well-known wall street trading firm.

2. Is it secure?

The Serum network has cross-chain support that allows the exchange of assets in a trustless manner between various blockchains. It has a utility and governance token that runs on the Solana blockchain with the ERC-20 version. The Project utilizes a trustless bridge via a ‘premier validator’ for DLT (distributed ledger technology).

Luckily for the project, it never has been hacking or having any security breaches before.

3. Serum (SRM) review

Serum seems to be legit with professionals, however, it still can't receive the maximum score from users. A user is disappointed that Serum cannot generate easy returns. However, most of the reviews said they are happy about the project and highly recommend others investing in it.
